Well I just got out of school last Wednesday which is good because I was seriously going to go nuts if I had to be there for one more second, especailly without my senior friends . Well anyways it's now summer and I have been outside enjoying the sun and getting caught up on some much needed yard work. I was weeding the flower bed and for some amazingly random reason thought about the super old and ugly desk that is in my room. Well I'm in the process of repainting the room down the hall for me to move into because it's bigger and was planning and burning the old desk because it has basically no value and looks terrible. I then thought of the wonderful idea of sanding it and repaiting it and making it into my "art desk." For one I can keep all my art stuff that's gathering in a corner in my closet and finally have a place for that stuff and also when I repaint it I can do murals all over it. I'm going to have so much fun because there's so much suface to paint on! So now I have one huge and awesomely artsy project to focus on instead of just sketches and stuff. I just really needed a different medium to work with because I'm actually getting a little bored with paper. There's only so much you can do! I haven't had the priveledge of an art class either so there hasn't really been any specific "projects" either. So now I'm just super excited. Yay!
